Colin has gained a wealth of experience spanning almost 40 years, after qualifying as a Dispensing Optician in 1979 from City and East London College.
Since joining Haig-Brown in 2013, Colin has been helping our patients to make the right choice when choosing frames for spectacles and combining his expert knowledge to ensure the partnership between the frames and lenses are the perfect fit.
Colin is extremely practical and there is not much he can't fix, from broken frames to computers. He has recently got a high speed industrial polishing wheel which he uses to buff up plastic frames that have lost their shine and to polish our natural material frames made of real horn.
With a special interest in sports vision, Colin is also a mine of information to help our patients select the best frames for their sporting pursuits – this stems from his love of archery and clay pigeon shooting.
