MCOptom Bsc(Hons) DIP Medical Retina
Eleanor is a specialist Optometrist with particular interests in paediatrics and binocular vision (how the eyes work together), and graduated from Cardiff University in 2016. She has recently qualified as an Independent Prescriber, having previously achieved a higher qualification in medical retina.
As well as having worked with both independent and multiple practices on the high street, Eleanor has worked in various Ophthalmology departments such as Epsom Eye Unit, Frimley Park Hospital and now at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
In an attempt to pass on some bites of wisdom, Eleanor supervised Optometry students for several years at City University in London, helping them develop their clinical skills, especially in paediatrics and binocular vision. She has now moved on from teaching to prioritise practice and hospital work.
Out of the test room, Eleanor enjoys dabbling in CrossFit, some fair-weather running and is partial to a chilly lake swim when feeling brave.
