Laura joined the Haig-Brown Optometrist team in autumn 2023. She qualified from City, University of London in 2013 and completed her preregistration year at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Since qualifying, Laura has been working in practice across the South East, enhancing her skill set and fostering relationships with her patients. During lockdown, Laura gained her Independent Prescribing qualification, allowing her to prescribe medication for a range of conditions in practice which may otherwise require referral.
Having completed her training at Moorfields Eye Hospital she has a keen interest and passion for fitting contact lenses, including orthokeratology lenses. One of her areas of special interest is in myopia control in children and teenagers.
Away from the practice, Laura enjoys walking and keeping fit with Joe Wicks work outs, as well as travelling and discovering new locations for long lunches.
